Buenaventura FAQs

Is Buenaventura open to the public?

Yes! Buenaventura is a municipal course owned by the City of Ventura and operated by KemperSports. You do not need a membership to play, but we do offer a few different programs such as our LoyalTee Rewards, Senior Cards and Twilight Memberships for those who would like to participate.

Is Buenaventura a full 18-hole course?

Yes! While we are still renovating and repairing the course and its facilies, we are open for a full 18-holes. Things to be aware of before you play: we do still have two temporary greens on holes 2 & 8 and we are in the midst of restoring our Pro Shop. For updates on these projects, please visit the City of Ventura’s website: City Golf Courses | Ventura, CA.

Does Buenaventura have food and beverage available?

  1. Unfortunately, we do not have any dining options currently at Buenaventura. There are limited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase in the golf shop along with a water bottle refill station. But, if you think you will want more than that, feel free to pack a cooler or order delivery to meet you at the turn!
  3. For the latest updates on the City’s renovation progress and plans, please visit the City of Ventura’s website: City Golf Courses | Ventura, CA.
